How the Davis Chamber of Commerce handles information on davischamber.org. In short: we collect only what we need to respond to you and to understand how the site is used, and we do not sell your information.

Last updated: July 2026

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways. First, what you choose to send us: when you fill out a form on this site (contact, membership question, sponsorship, or a grant or ambassador application), we receive the details you enter, such as your name, business, email, phone number, and message. Second, basic usage data: like most websites, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. This includes cookies and information such as your device type, general location (city or region, not your exact address), and the pages you view.

How we use it

We use the information you submit to respond to you, follow up on membership and event interest, and provide the resources you asked about. We use analytics data only in aggregate, to improve the site and understand what the Davis community finds useful. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Services we rely on

A few trusted services help run this site:

  • Google Analytics provides the anonymous usage statistics described above.
  • MembershipWorks powers the join application and member login. When you join or sign in, your information is handled by MembershipWorks under its own privacy terms, including any payment details, which we never see or store ourselves.
  • Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and keeps standard server logs for security.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for analytics. You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on. Turning off cookies will not stop you from using the site.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just contact the Chamber using the details below and we will take care of it.

Children

This site is intended for a general business and community audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
